ISIS terrorist plot to sneak into Salahaddin foiled
A plot by the Islamic State (IS) militants to infiltrate into the Iraqi province of Salahaddin was foiled by the pro-Iranian Shi’ite militias on Sunday.
The jihadists had attempted to sneak into the city of al-Madarat, in Samarra, but they were thwarted by the Samarra Operations Command of the Shi’ite Saraya al-Salam, as reported by Al-Sumariyah News.
It added that the operation was carried out based on intelligence information, noting that the insurgents were onboard of six boats.
The militiamen were able to repel them, according to the report.
