Iraqi soldier killed in Islamic State terrorist attack

An Iraqi soldier was killed in an Islamic State (ISIS) group ambush in the Makhmur district of Erbil Province, NRT has learned.

NRT’s reporter in Mahkmour said that the soldier, Jumaa Omar Mohammed, was of Kurdish nationality from Akre district, Duhok Province.

Mohammed was killed in the ambush on Sunday night around 2100 (local time).

The reporter added that Mohammed left his wife and had two children behind.

ISIS carries out sporadic attacks, especially in disputed territories, targeting civilian and military targets.
