Iraqi intelligence agency says Islamic State wali killed in air strike north of Baghdad
Iraq’s Security Media Cell said on Monday (January 31) an Islamic State (ISIS) group high official was killed in the district of al-Tarmiya in the north of Baghdad governorate.
SMC said in a statement the senior official, Adwan Farhan Jafal, was killed in an air strike on what the media cell called an ISIS den in the area.
The ISIS member was also known as Sheikh Seif, the statement added.
The National Security Service confirmed his identity through a DNA test, SMC said on Monday.
