Iraqi court issues life imprisonments to two Islamic State terrorists
A couple of Islamic State (IS) jihadists were sentenced to life in jail by an Iraqi court on Saturday on terror charges.
Al-Sumariyah News cited a statement by the Supreme Judicial Council as saying that the pair had been involved in terrorist activities in the Iraqi provinces of Salahaddin and Anbar.
The Central Criminal Court pointed out that one of the insurgents was running a workshop for making booby-trapped vehicles for the extremist group in the city of Fallujah, in Anbar.
Apart from helping foreign as well as Arab members of the jihadist group infiltrate into Iraq, the other suspect confessed his involvement in a terrorist attack against the provincial building in Salahaddin, the press release added.
