Iraqi army forces raid Islamic State training camp and kill at least six terrorists
Iraqi Air Force carried out airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS) positions on Wednesday in the surroundings of Mount Hamrin, killing several jihadists.
According to a statement by Iraq’s War Media Cell, an F-16 warplane targeted the location believed to be used by IS insurgents as their training camp, bringing huge damages to the facility.
Elsewhere in Salahaddin province, Iraqi forces attacked an IS hideout and killed at least six jihadists.
A 5-meter-long tunnel and a vehicle belonging to the militants were destroyed.
As the result of a fierce fire exchange, one Iraqi soldier was killed and another was injured, the statement said.
