Iraqi Army Forces discovered and destroyed Islamic State hideouts in Kirkuk
Iraqi federal police discovered several secret locations used by Islamic State (IS) sleeper cells near Riyadh district, west of Kirkuk province.
The Iraqi forces raided the hideouts on Sunday and destroyed the location after seizing different materials, according to a police press release.
There were taxation documents, materials used for making bombs, dried food, extremism books, and dozens of Hashd al-Shaabi military uniforms kept in the hideouts.
IS jihadists often disguise themselves as Iraqi army or Shi’ite militias of Hashd al-Shaabi when setting up fake checkpoints or carrying out terrorist attacks.
