Iraqi army forces carry out anti-Islamic State operation in the Salahudin province

Iraqi security forces and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) carried out the third phase of the “Revenge of the fasters” operation against the Daesh terrorist group, also known as ISIS or ISIL in the Salahudin Province in central Iraq.

Footage filmed on Sunday shows the soldiers of the army and PMU forces completing the operation on the banks of Tigris River.

A PMU military officer commented on the operation, stating “All the islands were inspected, and Daesh homes and headquarters were burned.”
