Iraqi army forces capture ISIS bomb expert

Iraq’s intelligence service announced the arrest of an Islamic State (IS) militant who is said to be the group’s explosives expert and bombing planner.

According to an official statement, the insurgent was captured in Albu Taiban district of Anbar province based on previous intelligence.

He had been involved in multiple terrorist attacks against the Iraqi forces and civilians west of the country, the statement revealed.

Several weapons, ammunition and explosive substances were seized from the militant’s hideout at the time of his arrest.
