Azzam Tamimi is the Director of IIPT – he is a senior Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) activist who has represented MAB at many meetings.
Tamimi claims to act as an advisor to the Hamas leadership in the Middle East and describes himself as a “sympathizer and supporter.”
Furthermore, during a BBC radio program he stated that suicide bombing is justified in Islamic theology. In November 2004, while being interviewed for the BBC program Hardtalk, Tamimi said that sacrificing his life in a suicide bombing in Israel/Palestine would be “a noble cause. It is the straight way to pleasing my God and I would do it if I had the opportunity.”
