Inside ISIS torture cells: Footage reveals tiny chambers where crowds of terrified locals ‘awaited execution’
With peeling paint, stray wires and words scrawled on the walls, it looks like an abandoned warehouse.
But this building in Syria was actually an ISIS prison – and it was reportedly home to horrific scenes of torture with prisons crammed into the tinniest cells where they could hardly stand, never mind lie down
The facility, based near the northern city of Manbij, is believed to have been used by the terror group to hold locals and enemies.
There, the terrified detainees would be crammed into tiny cells with up to 14 others, where they awaited possible execution.
They were forced to use a cockroach-ridden hole in the ground as a toilet – while their only fresh air came from a minute, high-up window.
And incredibly, those detainees were the lucky ones – for their fate was better than that of the solitary confinement prisoners.
Those inmates were locked up in a cell of unbelievable proportions, leaving them barely able to stand and unable to lie down.
