Increased security seen outside Sri Lanka church just days after terror attacks
Increased security was seen Wednesday outside St. Anthony’s church in Colombo, Sri Lanka just days after the Easter Sunday bombings that killed more than 300 people, many of which died at the holy site.
The country now faces a new and different kind of threat: global jihadists allied with local Islamist malcontents.
After the devastating attacks, Sri Lanka will no doubt prioritize combating the foreign fighter threat and the Islamic State in general. Other countries with a significant number of foreign fighters must do the same.
