HTS terrorists attempt to kidnap commander of an armed group in the Aleppo countryside
Members of the security forces of Tahrir Al-Sham stormed today the village of Al-Sahrah in western Aleppo countryside, attempting to kidnap a commander of an armed group in the independent brigades in front of his house in the village.
Observatory sources added that the attackers opened fire on the targeted commander injuring him, while trying to resist them.
A group of residents came out to confront the security members of HTS, refusing to hand over the commander, forcing the security forces’ members to withdraw from the village.
According to SOHR sources, the emir of Aleppo province was leading the members and security forces of Tahrir of Al-Sham.
On April 28, SOHR activists reported that members of Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) prevented a column belonging to Turkish army forces from entering the city of Dara Izza, west of Aleppo province. Members of Al-Katoura checkpoint gathered this evening in front of Turkish military vehicles to block them from passing.
This development comes amid growing tension between HTS, which seeks to open a commercial crossing with regime-controlled areas on the one hand, and Turkish forces and proxy factions on the other.
Syrian Observatory sources have monitored Turkish army and Al-Sham Corps on one side, and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham on the other on high alert, in the areas in Aleppo and Idlib.
