Houthi forces launch six strikes on US’s Eisenhower in 24 hours
Fighters from the Houthi group carried out six attacks in the last 24 hours. Reuters reported that the main target was the American aircraft carrier “Eisenhower,” operating in the Red Sea, citing a Houthi spokesman.
Supported by Iran, fighters from the Houthi organization, over the past day, conducted six decisive attacks.
Their targets included the American aircraft carrier, a destroyer, and three other vessels operating in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. The Houthi armed forces spokesman, Yahya Saree, conveyed this information on Saturday.
Using missiles and drones, Houthi fighters attacked the American aircraft carrier “Eisenhower,” which was in the northern Red Sea. A Houthi representative emphasized that this was “the second targeting operation against the carrier during the past 24 hours.”
Houthi fighters attacked. No information on the consequences yet
The Houthi armed forces spokesman added that among the units attacked by their fighters was also an American destroyer and three commercial ships in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
At the moment, however, there is no reliable information about the effects of these attacks.
The Houthis, who have been active participants in the Yemeni civil war since 2014, regularly attack warships and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
They operate in solidarity with the Palestinian Hamas, which is engaged in fighting with the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.
