Three ISIS hotbeds destroyed in Salahaddin
Another three hotbeds of the Islamic State (IS) militant group were destroyed on Tuesday by the Iraqi forces in the province of Salahaddin.
According to a statement by the Interior Ministry, a special force of Salahaddin Operations Command conducted a military campaign in Tikrit Island where they discovered the three hideouts, as cited by Alghad Press.
Meanwhile, weaponry and explosive materials were captured as well, the statement added.
After attacking Iraq, the extremist group started to dig up hundreds of tunnels and similar hideouts, using them during their terrorist activities against the national forces.
