Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist group is planning major attack
The Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) is planning a large-scale terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir to “avenge the elimination of Riyaz Naikoo,” intelligence sources said.
Naikoo, an HM leader, was eliminated by security forces early this month. The attack could happen in a fortnight, the report said. However, it is not clear where the attack could take place.
The HM activities include the movement of a group from south Kashmir to Kishtwar. Ashraf Moulvi, an HM leader, has moved from Anantnag to Kishtwar to command cadres in the area. Besides, HM terrorists – about five – have been spotted near Gurez and they are likely to attempt to enter into Jammu and Kashmir very soon.
