Hezbollah terrorist killed in Israeli strike near the Syria-Israel border
The Israeli Defense Forces have reportedly killed a Hezbollah militant in an airstrike near the Syrian-Israel border, according to Arab media sources.
The Hezbollah member, reportedly identified as Aymad al-Tawil, was traveling in a vehicle during the time of the incident.
According to Channel 13, al-Tawil was involved with setting up Hezbollah cells in Syria aimed at launching cross-border attacks at Israel.
The semi-official Syrian news agency confirmed the strike occurred along the border citing a number of Iranian military sources.
Syria’s SANA, in the meantime, claims that the deceased was a civilian.
Israel has not made any comments on the story, with Jerusalem rarely claiming responsibility for action in Syria that is being blamed on it.
