Hezbollah MP Urges Lebanese Powers to Defy US Pressures on Syrian Refugees Return

Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Ibrahim Al-Moussawi urged the Lebanese powers to exert efforts in a bid to deal with the crisis of the Syrian refugees.

In a tweet on X social media platform (formerly Twitter), Al-Moussawi warned that the issue of the Syrian refugees poses an existential threat to Lebanon.

“Washington doesn’t agree on the return of Syrian refugees. All the Lebanese agree on the danger of their presence in Lebanon and the need to go back to their homeland. The US assesses Lebanon’s interest more than its own people!”

“Rare chance for a Lebanese concession on an existential threat,” the Hezbollah lawmaker said.

“Let’s unite efforts and take the appropriate sovereign decisions even to the dismay of the US.”
