Hezbollah Launches Drone Strike on Israeli Military Headquarters in Western Galilee
Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance group, launched a drone strike against an Israeli artillery position in northern Galilee. The target was the headquarters of the 146th Division’s Artillery Battalion Command in western Galilee. Hezbollah used kamikaze drones to hit command posts, fire control positions, and artillery sites.
The group claims that the strikes were precise and resulted in Israeli casualties. Hezbollah stated that this operation supported Palestinians in Gaza and retaliated against Israeli actions in southern Lebanon. In addition to the drone strike, Hezbollah carried out several other attacks.
They targeted Israeli soldiers near the Hanata outpost with rockets, claiming direct hits. The group also shelled technical equipment at the Israeli al-Malikiya and Hadab Yarin military sites, stating they hit their targets accurately.
Furthermore, Hezbollah launched a missile from southern Lebanon at the Israeli Hadab al-Bustan outpost, reportedly destroying the intended targets. These actions are part of Hezbollah’s ongoing campaign of almost daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions.
The group justifies these attacks as retaliation for Israel’s aggression against Lebanon and as an act of solidarity with Palestinians. The Washington Post reported that Hezbollah has an extensive arms arsenal that could overwhelm Israel’s air defense system if Lebanon launched a full-scale attack.
The tensions between Hezbollah and Israel are occurring alongside the broader conflict involving Gaza. This highlights the complex and interconnected nature of the geopolitical situation in the region. As Hezbollah continues to show its military capabilities and willingness to engage in conflict, concerns grow about a potential wider regional conflict.
