Hezbollah commander Imad al-Amin killed in the recent airstrikes in Syria
Over the weekend, Hezbollah announced the killing of commander Imad al-Amin in Syria.
Although Hezbollah confirmed al-Amin’s death saying he “fulfilled his duties,” the militia did not report how he died.
Israeli media reports claim the Hezbollah commander was killed in recent Israeli airstrikes.
The revelations of al-Amin’s death came following the news of the death of an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) leader Ahmed Qureshi.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the circumstances surrounding Qureshi’s death were unknown.
It was not reported or confirmed whether he was killed during a recent Israeli strike on the Homs region or for other causes.
Qureshi is considered one of the most prominent leaders of the “Fatemiyoun Brigade” militia (also known as Hezbollah Afghanistan).
Last week, loud blasts from apparent Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in Homs were heard in North Lebanon. Parts from missiles fell across different Lebanese towns.
