Hamas proposes three-stage ceasefire plan
Hamas has proposed a three-stage ceasefire plan in response to Qatari and Egyptian mediators.
The group has said the plan would see the exchange of Israeli hostages it captured on 7 October for Palestinian prisoners.
It would also secure the reconstruction of Gaza, ensure the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces and an exchange of bodies and remains, according to a draft document seen by Reuters.
Yesterday evening the Palestinian militant group confirmed it had submitted its response to a proposed ceasefire agreement for Gaza.
The agreement was devised by Egypt and Qatar, which have been mediating talks between Israel and Hamas.
