Hamas claims responsibility for Tel Aviv attack
In a message on the official Hamas Telegram channel, it was announced that the terrorist who carried out the attack in Tel Aviv earlier today (Tuesday) is affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization.
“Our martyr, the soldier Abd al-Wahhab Halaila Dimam, who stood up during the heroic operation in Tel Aviv, as part of legitimate self-defense against the ongoing Zionist massacre in Jenin,” the statement reads.
Before the attack happened and in light of the operation in Jenin, Hamas also published a conversation between Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of Hamas, and Ziad Nachala, the secretary general of Islamic Jihad.
The message reads: “Brother and soldier Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, discussed during a phone call this afternoon, with his brother and fellow soldier Ziad al-Nakhla, the secretary general of the Islamic Jihad movement, the course and development of the ongoing conflict in the Jenin camp and the barbaric aggression carried out by the occupying forces and the goals they seek to achieve, and they praise the steadfastness of our people and its resistance and unity in the field that was expressed between the various forces and factions, and the involvement of everyone in the defense of the camp.”
Israeli security forces have announced that the terrorist who carried out the combined attack in Tel Aviv and was neutralized is Hasin Issa Hossein Halaila, a resident of the village of Samua in the Hebron area. He was 23 years old and unmarried. The ISA stated that the terrorist had no previous security background and he did not hold a residence permit in Israel, despite earlier reports on social media that he had a medical permit to enter Israel for treatment.
