Group arrested on charges of extorting money for the Islamic State in west Nineveh
Security forces arrested a group on Saturday (January 29) accused of extorting money from locals in Nineveh governorate.
Security Media Cell (SMC) said in a statement on Saturday the National Security Service in western Nineveh set up an ambush to arrest a group of four people who were allegedly forcing citizens to contribute money to finance the Islamic State (ISIS) and the group’s terror operations.
