Four Islamic terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir by the security forces

Four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian on Wednesday, taking the total number of terrorists killed this year to over 50.

J&K police hasn’t disclosed the identity of the militants yet and shifted the bodies to Srinagar for medico-legal formalities. The police officials are maintaining silence on the identity, sources said, to avoid any large funeral gathering amid the covid-19 pandemic.

“We have taken DNA samples and would be conducting burial in presence of magistrate. So far, the family of only one those killed has come to us and if they identify the terrorist then we will allow 2-3 family members to participate in burial. Those who claim later on DNA samples will be taken for further course of action,” Inspector General of police, Vijay Kumar told reporters here.
