Former Gainesville resident sentenced to three years in prison for trying to join ISIS
A former Gainesville resident will spend the rest of his life in prison and supervised release after being sentenced today.
Fathy Suliman was sentenced by a federal judge to spend three years in prison and supervised release for the rest of his life after being caught trying to enter Syria to join ISIS in 2014.
He was indicted and pleaded guilty to terrorism in April.
