Five Russian warplanes strike Islamic State desert hideouts

SOHR activists have reported that five Russian warplanes alternated shelling on ISIS areas, following raids by ISIS fighters on regime military posts in Al-Bushra desert and Al-Tabani desert.

According to sources, Russian warplanes executed 34 airstrikes on several positions in the Syrian desert, specifically on Al-Bushra, Athriyah and Al-Rasafa mountains.

Yesterday, Russian warplanes executed 16 airstrikes on the desert at junction between Aleppo, Hama and Al-Raqqa and the administrative borders between Al-Raqqa and Deir Ezzor.

Accordingly, the number of Russian airstrikes on several positions in the Syrian desert has risen to 50 since February.

Accordingly, the number of raids carried out by Russian fighter jets in the Syrian desert raised to 666 during January.
