Five people jailed in Kuwait for buying weapons for Islamic State with donation money
Kuwait’s Court of Cassation has sentenced a Lebanese man to 15 years in prison, plus two Kuwaitis and two expatriates to 10 years each, after they were found guilty of financing Daesh and buying weapons with money donated for Syrian people.
The security services arrested the Lebanese resident, a terrorist coordinator, financier and logistical supporter.
He was found guilty of running a website, using it to support Daesh and striking deals to buy FN-6 missiles and a man-portable air defence missile system, for the terror group.
The man admitted concluding deals to buy weapons and missiles while in constant contact with Daesh leaders in Syria
