Yesterday, Observatory sources said that regime forces, loyal militias and Russian-backed militias were continuing broad sweeping operations in the Syrian desert in Homs countryside and the triangle of Aleppo-Hama-Al-Raqqah, searching for ISIS cells. These sweeping operations were backed by considerable Russian support through intensive airstrikes on a daily basis, in an attempt to contain ISIS escalating operations in the region.
