Female member of Islamic State wanted by Interpol detained by the security service of Ukraine
A member of the international terrorist organization Islamic State, wanted by Interpol, was detained in Kyiv. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
“According to the SBU, the malefactor – a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries, is an active member of the terrorist organization Islamic State. In her homeland, the woman recruited mercenaries to participate in armed conflicts in Syria,” the statement said.
The press service also reported that in order to legalize herself in Ukraine and avoid punishment in her homeland, the foreigner received a permanent residence permit having submitted knowingly false information.
Precautionary measure in the form of extradition arrest was chosen for the detainee.
