Federal Police forces discover Islamic State hideout in Hawija
Iraqi Federal Police Forces announced, on Saturday, discovering a hideout belonging to the Islamic State group in Hawija District, while pointed out that the hideout contained food and blankets.
The Federal Police Command said in a press statement, “Based on the instructions of the Commander of the Federal Police, the security forces carried out a proactive operation and searched al-Azaybiyah Village in Hawija Dstrict.”
“The operation resulted in the discovery of a hideout belonging to the Islamic State terrorist group and containing food and blankets,” the statement added.
“The hideout was destroyed completely,” it further explained.
It is noteworthy that the former Prime Minister Haider Abadi announced in October 2017, the full liberation of the District of Hawija, and driving the Islamic State militants out of the area.
