He has purchased unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), accessories, and various electronic equipment from companies in United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Serhan gave an interview on July 21, 2016 where he claimed that he was facing bankruptcy and intended to close the company he owns.

He said the bankruptcy and the difficult situation in which he was caught is the result of his inclusion in the black list.

However three years after the designation the company is still active.
