Teenage jihadi poses with an explosive belt before blowing himself up in suicide bomb attack in Yemen
A fresh-faced teenage suicide bomber proudly poses for the camera with a broad smile and dressed in an explosive belt in a picture released by Islamic State.
A further set of pictures show the dramatic moment the young man – using the nom de guerre Hamza al-Muhajir – detonates the cargo of high-explosives strapped to his body.
Islamic State bosses claimed responsibility for the attack, saying al-Muhajir was behind the bombing in Yemen’s port city of Aden that killed seven people and wounded more than 30 others.
Witnesses said the blast was caused by a car laden with explosives, apparently driven by a suicide bomber towards a military kitchen in al-Derain area in northern Aden.
The appalling waste of lives is captured by another ISIS fighter from less than 100 yards away.
A figure can be seen stood at the barrier in war-torn Yemen as man cycles towards the checkpoint.
The next picture shows huge ball of flames and what looks like a body cartwheeling into the air as the lone cyclist nears the scene of carnage.
In the third picture the blast as blown the man on the bike across the road and another man emerges from a giant cloud of dust engulfing the street in the port city of Aden.
Aden is considered Yemen’s temporary capital, as the Saudi-backed Yemeni government has based itself there since 2015.
During the last two years, terrorist groups such as the Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and ISIS, have had an active presence in the southern part of Yemen.
