Dr. Essam El-Haddad is a UK trained physician and long-time Muslim Brotherhood member who was appointed to the Guidance Bureau in February 2012, later becoming responsible for Foreign Relations on behalf of the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party.

In August 2012 el-Haddad was appointed as one of four Egyptian Presidential assistants with responsibility for foreign relations and international cooperation.

El-Haddad headed the board of the Islamic Relief Worldwide between January 1992 and July 2013. He was fired after the ousting of Mursi in Egypt.

Alongside al-Hadad, IRW management included other MB officials, among them Ahmad Kazem el-Rawi, Dr. Hani Abd el-Gawad el-Bana el-Mansuri.

Essam El-Haddad chairs the Arabian Group For Development (AGD). The AGD lists among its most “significant and trusted clients” Islamic Relief, and Egyptian televangelist Amr Khaled’s Rightstart Foundation.

Dr. El-Haddad also works as a management consultant for the Dubai-based Skopos Company, described as “one of the first consulting companies in the Middle East and Africa to focus solely on Organizational Development.”

Skopos is doing business as Skopos Consulting while the Louis Allen Worldwide website refers to the company as Skopos Middle East and says it has an equity interest in the company.

In turn, Louis Allen Worldwide lists a number of prominent clients including Citibank, Pepsico, and Ford as well as least two Saudi companies.

El-Haddad is a member of the Union of Arab Exhibitions, the International Business Forum, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the British Egyptian Business Association, and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

He also founded “Inter-Build Egypt,” the country’s largest exhibition for the construction sector.

El-Haddad family has several investments in London, in partnership with Pakistani citizens and businessmen residing in the capital.
