Emirati woman jailed for 10 years for joining ISIS terrorist group
The Federal Supreme Court has turned down the appeal of a woman who was convicted of joining and funding a terror group and secretly communicating with its members.
Earlier, the Emirati woman, identified as A.A.M, 45, was sentenced to 10 years in jail by the Abu Dhabi appellate court.
The woman was found guilty of setting up accounts on social media platforms Twitter and Facebook to promote the ideologies of the terror group. She was also found guilty of creating the accounts to offend the UAE and its symbols.
The top court ordered the seizure of the devices she had used in committing the crime.
