Elon Musk’s X suspends Hezbollah terrorist organization’s account

The account for Hezbollah on Elon Musk’s social media platform X, formerly Twitter, was suspended, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

The account, @Hezbollah_FA, was spotted by Michael Freund, a journalist and columnist for The Jerusalem Post Magazine and former deputy communications director for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Hezbollah has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the US government since 1997, yet they have an active X account,” Freund tweeted earlier in October. “@elonmusk Why is their account permitted?”

After reporting the account, Freund learned that X suspended it, citing violations to its policies on violent threats.
