Eight Islamic State terrorists are en route to France via Lebanon and Greece

A port worker in Tripoli, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Greek City Times that eight ISIS fighters are en route to France after they departed from the northern Lebanese city yesterday morning.

The group of ISIS fighters arrived at the Port of Tripoli, now Lebanon’s main port after the Port of Beirut was destroyed in last years blast, at 2:30AM local time on Wednesday, according to the port worker.

He said that they left “sometime after this.”

The source told Greek City Times that the group for “four or five days” prior to their departure stayed in the town of Berkail, a Sunni Muslim olive producing community 12 kilometres south of Akkar and 25 kilometres northeast of Tripoli.

According to the source, the group of ISIS fighters, in which at least three have French nationality, paid smugglers so they could be transported by sea to Greece in order to continue their journey to France.

At time of publication, it is not known where the vessel is, or whether it has made attempts to stop in Cyprus or Turkey
