Dozens of Islamic State terrorists surrender to the Afghan Security forces
Dozens of ISIS terrorists in eastern Kunar province surrendered to Afghan Security forces, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
“A group of 46 ISIL terrorists, with their weapons in Kunar province, gave up fighting and surrendered to security and defense forces,” read the statement.
According to the statement, the group has had roles in organizing terrorist attacks in different parts of the province.
The group expressed regrets regarding their acts against civilians and security forces and committed to choose a peaceful life, the statement added.
It is worth mentioning that scores of ISIS terrorist affiliates surrendered to the government in eastern Afghanistan and the escalation of attacks by the Afghan National Armed Forces described as the main reason for their surrender.
