Dortmund bus bomb: Football stars on ISIS death list as ‘Islamist’ suspect arrested
Three pipe bombs went off near a bus carrying the Bundesliga team to Signal Iduna Park stadium in Germany last night.
A letter that takes responsibility for the act was found outside the L’Arrivee Hotel and Spa where the team was staying.
German prosecutors said two “Islamist” extremists are the focus of the probe into the attack ahead of Dortmund’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Monaco.
One has been arrested as German detectives investigate the possibility the attack may be linked to terrorism.
But in a strange twist cops found another letter from left-wing anti-Nazi group ANTIFA claiming responsibility for the attack.
In a statement this morning, “horrified” German chancellor branded the attack “repugnant”.
