Syrian Defence Forces hands over another 200 ISIS terrorists to Iraq
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Friday sent over 200 Islamic State (IS) prisoners to the Iraqi authorities.
An Iraqi security source confirmed that the Iraqi army’s 8th Division received the jihadists and transferred them to a military base.
The IS prisoners were said to be all Iraqi nationals.
They will be sent to Baghdad later for interrogations and trials, the source said.
He also revealed that there were discussions over the repatriation of the wives and children of Iraqi IS jihadists whom are also under detention in Syria.
