Dean Morrice is a man charged with terror and explosive offences after police descended on a sleepy village.

He was charged with terrorism and explosive offences and will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court.

He was detained after an investigation led counter-terror officers to a property in the village, which was searched by specialist officers and a bomb disposal unit was pictured on scene.

Morrice was arrested on August 20, has now been charged with two offences under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006 – transmitting a terrorist publication – and one offence under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000 – possession of terrorist related material.

He has also been charged under Section 4 of the Explosive Substances Act 1883 – making or possessing an explosive substance in suspicious circumstances.

Morrice has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court.
