Daesh threat to young minds ’is worse than drug menace’

Education experts have renewed their call for urgent measures to raise awareness among Saudi youngsters against the aggressive acts of Daesh terrorists.Their appeal to employ more student guides and instructors in schools follows the brutal act of the twin brothers who killed their mother, injured their father, and stabbed a third brother in Al-Hamra neighborhood in the city of Jeddah.

“We must address this misguided behavior which seeks to destabilize security and social peace by spreading extremism and murder,” said Saad Falayan Almedith, a psychological guidance and counseling supervisor.

Academic experts say that the lack of specialists in psychology, sociology and social services in the education sector is a major reason for youngsters going astray, local media reported.
