CS Kindiki to name 19 terror masterminds
Speaking in Mkunumbi, Lamu West Constituency after meeting security teams and community leaders, Kindiki said the sponsors will be required to answer to the charges.
Additionally, the government also plans to gazette new sub locations in Lamu East and West to bring services closer to the residents and improve security.
This comes after the Ministry released names and pictures of thirty-five people believed to be part of the terrorist group, Al-Shabaab who were terrorizing Lamu and Boni residents.
Kindiki also said they have beefed up security as the festive season approaches.
He pledged to return to the County in two weeks to assess the security situation.
Meanwhile, in Igembe North, irate residents took to the streets a day after Interior CS Kithure Kindiki toured the county following an increase in cases of insecurity.
The residents are demanding the government to beef up security in the area.
