At least 17 children of ISIS parents returned back to Turkey
At least 17 Children of Turkish parents, who joined the Islamic State, have been repatriated into Turkey, after they were left in Iraq, Turkish diplomatic sources were quoted saying on Wednesday.
A report published by Anadolu Agency said “the 17 children, who included a child below three, were repatriated from an orphanage in al-Salhiya region in Baghdad.”
The children, according to the report, “are now under protection of Turkish officials. All of them are in good health condition.”
Statistics have referred that around 2200 Turkish people joined Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Only 600 of them returned back to their country.
