Car rams into crowd in Kassel district in the city of Volmarsen in Germany
Earlier this month, at least nine people were killed and several others injured in shooting attacks on shisha bars in the western German town of Hanau.
Between 10 and 15 people, including small children, have been injured in German’s town of Volkmarsen, Kassel district, after a car rammed into a carnival parade, German’s media reported on Monday.
According to police, they’ve managed to arrest the driver.
At the same time, German media says, citing witnesses that the driver primarily targeted children and drove some 30 metres into the crowd.
As police are conducting an investigation into the incident, it remains unknown whether the driver deliberately drove into the crowd.
Dozens of ambulances, police and fire services have been dispatched to the scene of the incident that has been cordoned off.
