ISIS suicide bombers break in to a church before one blows himself up killing nine people
This is the terrifying moment two ISIS terrorists broke into a Methodist church before detonating a suicide vest and opening fire on worshipers killing nine.
The gunmen – aged between 16 and 20 – infiltrated Bethel Memorial Church in Quetta, West Pakistan during a Sunday midday service.
Nine were killed and more than 50 injured in the violence on Sunday December 17.
The chilling footage shows the gunmen, one dressed in black and the other in white, approaching the church. Both are carrying guns.
One helps the other over the property’s high perimeter walls. Once inside the masked terrorist unlocks the metal gate allowing his accomplice to enter.
But soon Pakistani armed police are on the scene and the video shows the gunmen being forced to hide.
Later, after being cornered by armed police one bomber detonated his vest by the gates to the church, reports Geo TV.
The second man then opened fire on terrified worshipers.
Soon after he was shot down by police before being able to detonate his own deadly device.
Pakistani police managed to diffuse the second bomb which was attached to his body.
It was later revealed the second terrorist had 15 kilogrammes of explosive material strapped to him.
Balochistan Inspector General Police (IGP) Moazzam Ansari confirmed a major tragedy had been avoided by the quick response of security forces.
DNA samples of the two terrorists have been obtained in a bid to identify them. These samples will be sent to Punjab Forensic Laboratory in Lahore.
And authorities have registered a case against ‘unknown terrorists’.
Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, has been at the centre of recent violence in Pakistan.
Last month, a suicide attack targeting paramilitary soldiers killed at least four people and wounded 15 others.
