The biggest ISIS cell captured in Iraq’s Ramadi
The biggest Islamic State (IS) cell was apprehended on Monday by the Iraqi forces in the Iraqi province of Ramadi, Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate said in a statement.
“Troops of the 10th Division of the Military Intelligence Directorate managed to arrest the biggest terrorist cell involved in car bomb attacks in Ramadi,” Dijlah TV channel quoted the statement, as cited by Iraqi News.
According to the report, the so-called Abu Abullah al-Ansari cell was made up of six members. It added that all six members were wanted on terror charges.
Although Iraqi former PM Haider al-Abadi announced the full victory over IS in December, last year, the militant group’s sleeper cells still continue to carry out terrorist activities against the national army and innocent civilians.
