Iraqi authorities sentenced ISIS terrorist to death

A court in Iraq has sentenced an insurgent of the Islamic State (IS) to death after finding the militant guilty of being involved in a deadly car bomb in Diyala.

The death penalty was issued by the Diyala Criminal Court for the extremist who allegedly confessed to being behind the deadly bomb explosion in Diyala which left scores of civilians dead and injured, the Supreme Judicial Council media center said in a statement, as reported by Alghad Press

Since the announcement over the militant group in late 2017, Iraq has sentenced hundreds of IS members, including foreign nationals, to either death or life in jail.
