ISIS car bomb attack foiled by the Syrian Army near Tabqa town
Wrath of Euphrates fighters continue their advance towards the Tabqa town. Heavy clashes continue since last night in Tabqas south and north Safsafah villages under siege by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Both villages have strategic importance for the city center.
In the village of South Safsafah near Tabqa, ISIS gangs attempted a car bomb attack at 11:20 Wednesday noon. SDF fighters destroyed the bomb-laden vehicle before it reached the target.
According to reports from the ground, ISIS gangs are using civilians as human shields. The locals that attempt to flee the clashes area and access safe areas are being targeted with artillery and sniper fire.
During ongoing clashes, SDF fighters destroyed two bomb-laden vehicles of the gangs and one military vehicle with gang members inside. Dozens of ISIS members were killed and corpses of 4 were acquired by SDF.
