At least 25 Syrian regime soldiers and Islamic State terrorists killed in the triangle of Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa
Fresh clashes reportedly erupted between the Syrian regime forces and the Islamic State (IS) jihadists in the triangle of “Aleppo-Hama-Al-Raqqah” where nearly 25 regime soldiers and IS militants were killed, a monitor said on Tuesday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights cited its activists as reporting that at least 11 regime soldiers and loyalists with 13 IS jihadists were killed during the clashes.
“Since the 24th of March 2019, SOHR has documented the killing of at least 601 regime soldiers and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including at least two Russians and 127 Iranian-backed militiamen of non-Syrian nationalities,” the Britain-based monitoring group said.
The Islamic State is reportedly attempting to reorganize itself in various areas of Iraq and Syria while it has continued to target the security forces and civilians in the two neighboring countries.
