Two armed assailants detained in Shengal turn out to be ISIS terrorist group members
Clashes have erupted this morning after a so-called “Rojava-Peshmerga” group affiliated to the KDP of South Kurdistan forcibly attempted to enter the areas held by Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) in Xanesor town of Shengal.
While 4 members of this armed group were captured alive by YBŞ fighters, two of these turned out to be former members of the ISIS.
The two Arab militants, whose names were not immediately clear, reportedly left ISIS and joined FSA groups when Turkish Armed Forces entered Jarablus under the name of “Euphrates Shield”.
