More than seven people are arrested over suspected links to ISIS terrorist group in Turkey
At least seven people were arrested by the Turkish security forces in Elazig province on Tuesday over suspected ties with the Islamic State (IS).
Talking to Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity, a police source said that four Syrian and three Iraqi nationals were detained in simultaneous operations conducted by the police special forces in Elazig,
Turkish security forces have launched a campaign to clear the IS sleeper cells across the country.
Islamic State has long time ago been declared defeated in Iraq and Syria, but the extremist group’s sleeper cells have so far been active in conducting terrorist activities.
